Commercial trucks carry a purpose built body on a cab and chassis. Repair scope covers cargo body structure, corner posts, roll up and swing doors, decks and floors, subframe mounting, cab panel collision work, fleet refinishing and equipment installation. Engine, transmission and drivetrain service is not part of this work.

A commercial truck earns money only while it is loaded and moving, so repair decisions get made against downtime rather than against appearance. That changes how an estimate is written. The useful question is not what the truck would cost to restore, but what has to be corrected for it to carry a load safely and legally, what can wait for the next scheduled window, and how those two lists get sequenced across a fleet.

The work splits between the chassis cab and the body behind it. Cab damage repairs like heavy automotive work: panels, glass, structure and refinish. Body damage is closer to fabrication: extrusions, posts, decks, hinges, subframes and welded structure. Most shops handle one side well and subcontract the other. Both are handled at the Yorba Linda facility, which keeps the sequencing and the paint break under one plan. That also keeps a single set of measurements governing the whole repair.

Scope on commercial vehicles is body, paint, structural work and equipment installation. Engine, transmission and drivetrain service is not performed here, and neither is inspection or testing of emissions. Fleets based around Eastvale and the I-15 corridor bring units roughly twenty miles by SR-71 and SR-91, and all repair is completed in shop rather than at a yard or a customer site. Fleet operators generally phase units through so no more than one or two vehicles are out of service at any point in the schedule.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do you work on the cab as well as the cargo body?

Yes. Cab panels, doors, glass, structural sections and refinishing are handled alongside body work on the same visit, with the paint plan covering the transition between cab and body. Keeping both under one repair order avoids the situation where two vendors each treat the joint between their scopes as somebody else's responsibility.

### What is explicitly outside your scope on a commercial truck?

Engine work, transmission work and drivetrain repair are not performed. There is no emissions testing and no roadworthiness inspection service. What is performed is body, paint, structural repair, fabrication and equipment installation, plus the electrical and lighting work associated with those systems. That boundary is stated on every commercial estimate so there is no ambiguity.

### Can you handle multiple units from one fleet?

Yes, and phasing usually produces a better outcome than bringing everything at once. Units get inspected and prioritized, the work is grouped so paint and fabrication run efficiently, and the schedule is set around which vehicles can be released at which point. Refinishing several units to a common fleet color and layout also produces better consistency than doing them months apart.

### How is fleet lettering handled after repair?

Existing graphics get measured against fixed body references and photographed before removal so the replacement lands in the same position. New decals are applied after the refinish has fully cured. Where only part of a vehicle was refinished, the graphic layout is planned so any break falls at a body line or a panel edge rather than in the middle of a lettered area.
