Video documentation at OCRV Center records what still photographs cannot: mechanisms in motion, water tests running, systems cycling under load, and the sounds a failing component makes. It is used to verify function before delivery and to show adjusters and owners behavior that only appears while something is operating.

Some faults do not exist in a photograph. A slide room that binds at the last eight inches of travel, a generator that surges under load, a water intrusion path that only reveals itself while a hose is running, an awning motor that hesitates before it engages. Every one of those is a behavior over time, and describing behavior in words to somebody who has never seen the vehicle is a poor substitute for showing it. Video is the tool that fits that category of problem.

The shop records motion for two purposes. The first is internal verification: nothing is released until the systems that were repaired have been cycled and the cycle has been recorded. The second is external communication, whether that means showing an owner what their slide was doing before adjustment or giving an adjuster the evidence that a component is failing rather than merely worn. Both uses are practical rather than promotional.

The documentation discipline is the same as it is for photographs. Clips get dated, tied to the claim number, described in a single line stating what is being shown, and kept with the rest of the file rather than living on somebody's phone. The final recording on a job is the function check. Not yet. Footage is recorded on repairs as a matter of practice and a public library is being assembled from it, but nothing is published until there is enough genuinely representative material. Unrelated stock footage is not used here. Owners with an active repair can request clips of their own vehicle at any stage.
