01Which recreational vehicles do you take?+
Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhomes. Fifth wheels, conventional travel trailers, toy haulers, popup and hybrid trailers, and truck campers. Camper vans and van conversions on Sprinter, Transit, and ProMaster platforms. Diesel pushers and gas coaches alike, in both laminated and stick and tin construction. If it carries a house on it and travels down a highway, it is probably in scope. Length and height decide whether it fits the building, not the category name.
02Do you work on commercial vehicles?+
Yes. Box trucks and cutaway chassis with dry freight or refrigerated bodies, service and utility bodies, cargo vans, shuttles within our length limit, flatbeds, and mixed fleets. Fleet accounts get a consolidated estimate format and coordinated scheduling so several units cycle through without all of them being down at once. Liftgate structure, roll up door tracks, cargo floors, rub rails, and body mount repairs are routine work here rather than an exception.
03What is the maximum length and height you can handle?+
Bays accommodate coaches up to roughly forty five feet including tag axles, at heights typical of a Class A with rooftop air units. Width is rarely the constraint. The real limit shows up on roof work, where a tall unit needs clearance above the roofline for scaffolding and access. Send the length, the height at the tallest rooftop component, and the wheelbase by email if your unit is unusual, and you will get a plain answer on whether it fits.
04What do you explicitly not do?+
Engine rebuilds. Transmission rebuilds. Drivetrain internals, meaning differentials, transfer cases, and driveline rebuild work. DOT inspections. Emission testing. Those five sit outside our scope and you will be told so rather than have the unit taken in and quietly subcontracted. The mechanical and electrical work we do perform covers systems attached to the body and the house: slide drives, leveling hydraulics, generators, house wiring, converters and inverters, plumbing, and electrical faults created by collision damage.
05Fiberglass or aluminum body, does it change the repair?+
Substantially. Gelcoat over a laminated fiberglass sandwich is repaired by grinding the damage out in a tapered scarf, laying new glass and resin, fairing the contour, and refinishing so the repair edge disappears. Aluminum sided stick built units are usually repaired by replacing skin sections and reworking the wood or aluminum framing behind them. Molded fiberglass caps often have to be replaced whole, because a structural crack through a compound curve will not stay repaired.
06Do you repair slide rooms?+
Slide work is a regular part of the schedule. Electric rack and pinion, hydraulic ram, cable driven, and through frame screw drive mechanisms all come through. Common items are seal replacement, floor and topper repair, rail alignment, motor and controller replacement, sync correction on a slide that racks, and structural repair to slide box corners after a strike. A slide that binds is usually an alignment or an out of sync drive problem rather than a dead motor.
07What roof work do you do?+
Full membrane replacement in EPDM and TPO, fiberglass roof repair, sealant and seam renewal, and structural decking replacement where water has reached the plywood or the roof has started to bow. Damage from a low branch or an overpass strike usually means opening the roof to check the rafters before anything is closed up. Every roof job ends with a water test, because a roof that passes visual inspection and fails under spray is still a leaking roof.
08Do you do interior work?+
Interiors are part of most collision and water damage repairs, so yes. Subfloor replacement after rot, wall panel and substrate replacement, cabinet repair and rebuild, countertops, flooring, upholstery and dinette work, and ceiling panel replacement. On water damage the interior is where the actual repair happens, since the visible stain sits downstream of the failure. We open the affected area, dry it, map the moisture, replace what is compromised, and correct the entry point.
09Can you handle house electrical and generators?+
House side electrical is in scope: shore power inlets, transfer switches, converters, inverters, distribution panels, twelve volt circuits, solar controllers, battery banks, and the wiring damage that follows a collision or a rodent problem. Generators get diagnosed and repaired for electrical faults, mounting damage, exhaust and enclosure issues, and control problems. What we do not do is a generator engine rebuild. Electrical and mechanical labor bills at $260 per hour, diagnostic time at $285.
10Do you install and repair liftgates?+
Liftgate structural work, mounting repair, and the body reinforcement that goes with it are handled here. A liftgate that has torn its mounts usually took the body rail with it, and repairing the gate without addressing the rail puts the same load back onto damaged steel. Hydraulic component and control replacement happens as part of that work. Fleet operators typically bring several in as a group after a season of loading dock contact.
11Do you work on municipal and government units?+
Yes, including city and district vehicles, utility bodies, inspection and code enforcement units, and shuttles. Municipal work runs on purchase orders and formal documentation, so estimates get written in the detail a purchasing department needs, with itemized parts, itemized labor, and photographs attached. Scheduling accounts for the fact that a public agency often cannot have several units off the road simultaneously, so those units cycle through in a planned sequence rather than all at once.
12Can you build out a mobile business vehicle?+
Upfits and specialty builds are in scope on the body and systems side: interior framing and paneling, cabinetry and work surfaces, shelving, electrical distribution and shore power, generator mounting, exterior graphics preparation and paint, window and vent installation, insulation, and flooring. Food service, medical, grooming, detailing, and inspection vehicles all come through. What we do not do is chassis modification affecting drivetrain or suspension engineering, and we do not certify a build for a regulatory program.
13What makes a job out of scope?+
Three things, usually. The work is engine or drivetrain internals, which we do not perform. The unit does not physically fit the bays, which is a dimension question answered before you tow it in. Or the repair economics stop making sense, for example a rotted subfloor plus delaminated sidewalls on a low value trailer where the honest recommendation is to spend the money elsewhere. That gets said out loud rather than written into an estimate nobody should authorize.
14Do you take units that are not driveable?+
Non driveable units arrive on a tow or a transport regularly. Coordinate the arrival by email so a spot is open and someone is on the yard to receive it, because a forty foot coach set down by a wrecker in the wrong place blocks the shop. Units that will not roll or steer need to be stated up front so the right equipment is ready. Delivery has to land inside business hours, not after the gate is closed.
